The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Charles D. McClaskey, Davis, was cited for expired MVI and no proof of insurance by TFC J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $204.75 and court cost of $330.50.
- Megan C. Bobes, Leesburg, Va. was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Joseph T. Sun, Fairfax, Va. was cited for speeding (79-65) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Jonathan Glenn, Warrenton, Va. was cited for speeding (64-55) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Nina R. Gainer, Buckhannon, was cited for speeding (65-55) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Jami L. Parker, Davis, was cited for speeding (75-65) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Brittany H. Taylor, Hambleton, was cited for no seatbelt and no proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Steven Jordan Swiger, Belington, was charged with felony fleeing, driving suspended, reckless driving and failure to stop for emergency vehicle. According to the criminal complaint, on May 10 Parsons Chief of Police, W.D. Rowe, received a call of a vehicle coming into Parsons from Elkins, allegedly driving in a reckless manner. Rowe observed the vehicle by Shop n Save traveling 42 mph in a 25 mph zone. The vehicle allegedly ran the red traffic light and Rowe activated lights and siren but the vehicle failed to stop. He pursued the vehicle west on Rt72 at speeds of105 mph. The vehicle wrecked and the driver fled on foot into nearby woods. At this time, 911 advised that the vehicle was stolen from Barbour County. The driver was apprehended in the wooded area by Rowe and Chief Deputy C.R. Donelson. A check through DMV revealed that the driver, Steven Swiger, was suspended for unpaid citations. Swiger was transported to Parsons Police Department, processed then transported to the Davis Medical Center for treatment. He was then transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail. He is under a $1,500 property/surety bond for the misdemeanor charges and a $4,000 property/surety bond for the felony charge. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 25, at 11 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
- Raymond Allen Smith, Jr., Belle, was charged with driving revoked for DUI. The complaint states that on Tuesday, May 16 at 2:14 p.m. Cpl. D.W. Burge, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint on Laneville Rd in Davis. Cpl. J.E. Kopec arrived on scene and obtained a verbal statement from Burge that while he was investigating the suspicious person, the accused Raymond Allen Smith, Jr. arrived at their location to allegedly pick the suspicious person up. Burge conducted a license check on Smith and discovered that he was revoked for DUI, effective date of Nov. 25, 2015. It was discovered that the vehicle he was driving did not have valid insurance. At approximately 6 p.m. Kopec arrested Smith on scene. Smith was transported to the Parsons Police Detachment for processing and his vehicle was towed. A PR bond of $5,100 was posted and a court hearing is scheduled for June 27 before Magistrate William M. Miller

- Hinkle verses Baskin: Judgment was in favor of Scott Hinkle against Ronald A. Baskin in the amount of $3,139.80 plus $95 court cost. This case was heard on May 15 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- St. George Medical Clinic verses Harper: Judgment was in favor of St. George Medical Clinic against Angela M. Harper in the amount of $569.96 plus $80 court cost. This case was heard on May 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- St. George Medical Clinic verses Maxson: Judgment was in favor of St. George Medical Clinic against Arvita and Robin Maxzon in the amount of $518 plus &80 court cost. This case was heard on May 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
- St. George Medical Clinic verses Hexom: Judgment was in favor of St. George Medical Clinic against Jonathan Hexom in the amount of $205 plus $75 court cost. This case was heard on May 17 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
