The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Jordan A. Cosey, Hampton Tenn., was cited for reckless driving and no insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $250 and court cost of $330.50.
- Jordan A. Cosey, Hampton, Tenn., was cited for improper passing by Sgt. C.D. Siler. he pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Scott W. Moats, Parsons, was cited for no seatbelt and no proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $25. The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Tina L. Bohon, Hambleton, was cited for expired licence by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $475 and court cost of $165.25.
- David L. Friend, Elkins, was cited for no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Melissa A. Thomas-Van Gundy, Elkins, was cited for no valid proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Allen C. Hedrick, Hambleton, was cited for no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Brenda S. Credal, Parsons, was cited for defective equipment by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Brian W. Harkowa, Easton, Md., was cited for no passing in a no passing zone by Deputy C.A. Teter. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Matthew D. Shriver, Salem, was cited for speeding (79-65) and expired registration by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled guilty to both charges and was assessed fines of $9.50 and court cost of $330.50.
- Matthew D. Shriver, Salem, was cited for no valid proof of insurance by Sgt. C.D. Siler. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Pollard R. Largesse, Jr., Hambleton, was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Darlene K. Crosten, Parsons, was cited for speeding (64-55) by TFC J.J. Schmidle. She pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Jerry Burkhammer, Weston, was charged with Stalking and harassment which occurred on March 26. The complaint states that the defendant has repeatedly and willfully contacted several people in attempts to gain information about the victim. He allegedly found out where she was going to school and was asking several people if they could provide details about the victim and her family. The defendant allegedly has had several people attempt to contact the victim on his behalf to provide his contact information to her via computer. On March 26 there was a card under her windshield wiper that said the defendant was her real father, she had been stolen from him, that he loved her and had not seen her in 16 years and wanted her to call him. She is emotionally and physically upset and is afraid to go anywhere. It should be noted that the defendant has been told by the court system as well as the family, the defendant and her attorney, to leave them alone and that they did not want any contact from him and to be left alone. There is a history of abuse and the defendant’s parental rights have been taken away. The defendant posted a $10,000 PR bond and a court hearing is scheduled for June 7 at 10:30 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Mary Alice Smith, Parsons, was charged with purchasing alcohol for a minor. A court hearing is scheduled for June 7 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- Edward M. Kennard, Jr., Davis, was charged with driving revoked for DUI. According to the criminal complaint, on Saturday, April 22, at approximately 4 p.m. Cpl. D.W. Burge observed a van traveling north on WV32 with no headlights on in fog and rain. Burge ran the registration plate through Tucker Communications and was advised that the registration was not on file. The defendant was stopped and was asked for the driver’s license, insurance and registration cards. The defendant advised he did not have a driver’s license, he has never had insurance on the vehicle, and the registration plates were not his. A drivers’ history was requested through Tucker Communications and found that the defendant’s license was revoked for DUI effective Dec. 8, 2016. A PR bond of $500 was posted and a court hearing is scheduled for June 27 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.
The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- State of West Virginia verses Aimee Lynn Grahe: Clear Springs, Md. received judgment of no contest for one count operating a motor vehicle not equipped with an approved motor vehicle alcohol test and lock system which occurred on March 19. She was assessed fines of $100 and cost and fees of $165.25. She received a six month suspended sentence. She also received a judgment of dismissed by Mag-State-No Fee for one count speed limitations. Motion by the State to dismiss was granted. This case was heard on April 25 by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
- North Lake Owners Association verses CRM Management Co LLC: The court found in favor of North Lake Owners Association in the amount of $4,422.96 plus $90 court costs.
- State of West Virginia verses Michael S. Mitchell: He received judgment of no contest plea for one count making, issuing worthless checks which occurred on Oct. 7, 2016. He was assessed cost and fees of $190.25 and must make restitution of $30. This case was heard on April 20 by Magistrate William M. Miller.
