The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
- Tina Marie Shaffer, Thomas, was cited for speeding (35-25) by Sr. Trp. J.J. Schmidle. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25. A second charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed with proof shown.
- Terry L. Watterson, Oakfield, NY was cited for speeding (54-45) by Trp. J.E. Kopec. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
- Miles Thomas Maiorana, Dewitt, AR, was cited for too fast for road conditions and no seatbelt by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $45 and court cost of $165.25.
- Jessie Robert Jones, Springfield, was cited for driving suspended miscellaneous by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $100 and court cost of $165.25.
- Cory Lee Steinmetz, Dry Fork, was cited for no MVI and no operators by Cpl. M.A. Roy. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $9.50 and court cost of $330.50.
- Anthony Cowell Barnes, Dry Fork, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. Charge was dismissed with proof shown.
- Madeline K. Pitts, Casselberry, Fla. was cited for no insurance and expired MVI by Dep. D.E. Gidley. She pled guilty to both charges and was assessed fines of $210 and court cost of $123.50
- Jay C. Hill, Toledo, Ohio was cited for no seatbelt by Trp. J.E. Kopec. He led no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Miljus Slobodan, Parma Heights, Ohio was cited for over-length and obstructing traffic by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest to both charges and was assessed fines of $9.50 and court cost of $330.50.
- Scott Bowley, Parsons, was cited for no seatbelt by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $25.
- Kevin Robert Lynch, Felton DE, was cited for speeding (49-45) by Sgt. C.D. Siler. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
- Patrick Dent Lundy, Jr., Parsons, has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender, which is a felony. According to the criminal complaint, Lundy has been in West Virginia for more than 15 consecutive days without registering. The alleged crime he committed was a felony act against a child in Virginia.
- Keith Wayne Pennington, Thomas, was charged with Domestic Battery and Domestic Assault. According to the criminal complaint, on Saturday, Oct 11, at approximately 11:22 Trooper J.E. Kopec, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, received a call from Tucker County 911 about a domestic assault and battery. Kopec spoke with Shanna Marie Pennington over the phone and she advised that the defendant allegedly threatened her by saying that he would burn the house down with her and her son in it. Allegedly he had thrown her around the previous day. A written statement was obtained from Miss Pennington that stated that she had been threatened and thrown around. Kopec questioned the defendant about what had happened and he stated that there had been an argument the previous day about a cell phone battery. The defendant also stated that he said he would burn the house down, but denied any accusations of threatening to burn the house down with Miss Pennington in it. The defendant was transported to the Parsons State Police Detachment.
