The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Jordan Lamar Keith, of Davis, was charged with one count of Battery. According to the complaint, on Wednesday, July 13 at approximately 1 p.m. TFC J.J. Schmidle received a call from Kenneth “Honey” Rubinstein Juvenile Center Superintendent Dan Dilly regarding a battery that occurred at the center on July 3. Dilly informed Schmidle that the battery occurred between two Cadets housed at the center.
On July 16 Schmidle reviewed the fax statements provided by the Rubenstein Center. Statements provided by Correctional Officers K. Bryson and C. Gidley advised on July 3 at approximately 8 p.m. Cadet one (age 17) was in the restroom when Cadet two (Juvenile) and Cadet Jordan Keith (age 18) attacked Cadet one. Cadet one told Gidley that Cadet Keith struck him with a closed fist in the face approximately four times. Cadet one sustained a broken jaw in the attack.
Nicholas Ryan Schoonover, of Parsons, was charged with one count of Driving Revoked for DUI. The complaint states that on Tuesday, July 26, Cpl. B.T. Zirk of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office was conducting a patron on US219 in Hambleton. He observed a vehicle exit onto Blackman Flats Rd with no exterior lights/lamps illuminated while it was raining. He activated his emergency lights and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The driver was identified as Nicholas Schoonover and when asked for driver’s license and registration, the defendant stated he does not have a valid license. Zirk asked him if his license was still revoked and the defendant replied yes. When a check was run through Tucker County 911 it showed his operators was revoked for DUI on 2-12-2020. Irk placed him under arrest and transported him to the West Virginia State Police station in Hambleton for processing. He was then transported to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
