According to Sgt. C.D. Siler,of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, a two vehicle accident occurred early Monday, Sept. 16 on US219 north of Parsons. A Ford Ranger driven by Nathan Mullennex, of Richwood, was traveling north when he entered Wild Maggie and crossed the center line, striking a tractor-trailer owned by Sisler Trucking and driven by Billy Perkins of Romney. The Ranger went over the embankment and caught fire. Mullennex was extracted from the vehicle and transported by Tucker County EMS. Also on the scene was Parsons Volunteer Fire Department, West Virginia Public Service Commission and West Virginia Department of Highways. The accident is still under investigation by the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
