On October 3, 2021, 911 communications was advised of a
missing person. 911 was advised O. J. Hovatter left
his residence to go to the Fernow Forest and he did not return.
The proper Authorities were advised of the situation and a search was
conducted. The U.S. Forest Service is the leading
investigative authority in the situation due to the circumstances
being on Federal Property.
Currently O. J. Hovatter is still missing. Anyone with any information may contact the U.S. Forest Service.
