Amateur radio operators from across West Virginia gather Saturday for the 2015 Charleston Area Hamfest and Computer Show. This event gives ham radio operators the opportunity to network, meet other operators they have talked with on the air, purchase equipment, attend forums to learn about updates and changes throughout the state relating to amateur radio operations and just have fun. Members from the Tucker County ARES/RACES and Mountain State Transmitters join hundreds at the hamfest including Dirk Burnside, WD8PAD, of Buckhannon; Jerry Sturm, KC8SIG, of Kerens; Remington Sweitzer, KB3TXG, of Oakland, Md.; Kenneth Butler, WA8TOX, of Beverly; Wayne Crowe, KI8EJ, of Bridgeport; Mark Sweitzer, KD8MIV, of Gormania; Victor Shuttleworth, WV8CC, of Lost Creek; Charles Hardy Jr., WV8CH, of Fayetteville; Richard Herron, KB8HTK, of Mill Creek; Jeff Broschart, KC8OBS, of Elkins; and Larry Ransinger, KD8OJH, of Weston.
