As you may know, all the water in the great valley of Canaan eventually cascades over the Blackwater Falls on it’s way down the mountain. Wednesday-Thursday of this week saw torrential rains in Canaan Valley, flooding a number of back roads and areas. On Friday, the Blackwater River in Davis reached it’s peak level and many locals flocked to witness the power and spectacular roar of the falls at such high flow that occurs only about once a year.
