Tucker County Commissioners, president Lowell Moore and Commissioner Patrick Darlington, were among a group receiving a Small Cities Block Grant in Charleston. A request for $1,500,000, for the Hamrick Public Service Water Distribution system Upgrade and Waterline Extension, was approved.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin said “Based upon Tucker County Commission’s ability to proceed with this worthwhile project, I am committing $250,000 for the FY2014 Small Cities allocation. the remaining $1,250,000 necessary to complete the project will be evaluated and committed in a future year’s allocation, based upon your ability to proceed and the availability of federal funds.”
