The annual Ruth and Arthur Lipscomb family reunion was held on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at the Ferrell Family Campground in Leadmine, WV, with 70 plus people attending over the weekend. The day began under clear blue skies with temperatures in the 80s.

The circle of hands countdown started around 1:15 pm, with Mary Lipscomb-Litman and a blessing given by Ike Lipscomb. After everyone had time to eat and visit, prizes were awarded in the following categories: The oldest man and woman in attendance again this year were Gary Lipscomb, 85, and Mary Lipscomb Litman, 87. Gary and Mary are the last remaining children of Ruth and Arthur. The youngest boy was Tyler (Ty) Balint – 10 months old.

The youngest girl was MaeLynn Muccioli again this year – 2½. MaeLynn is the great-great-granddaughter of Ruth and Arthur, great-granddaughter of the late Allen Lipscomb, granddaughter of Marc (Linda) Lipscomb, and daughter of Caity (Steve) Muccioli. The oldest grandson and granddaughter of Ruth and Arthur in attendance again this year were siblings Ike Lipscomb (75) and Sandy (Lipscomb) Wollschlager (79). The longest-married couple again this year was Gary and Lynn Lipscomb (64 years). The newest married couple was Allyssa and Cobey Balint (1 year, 11 months).

The 50/50 raffle was won by Cindy McCann. Since everyone enjoyed the auction idea last year, we repeated it this year, organized by Kathy Helmick and Carrie Leary, with proceeds going toward camp maintenance for next year. After the prizes were distributed, many went to the creek behind the camp to cool off from the heat, while others went into Parsons for the “cake walk”.

The following people were in attendance: Tink Knotts; Mary Lipscomb-Litman; Misty and Michael Mann; Madison Mak; Isabella Stock; Rob and Patty Parker; Skipper and Mary Lou Niemenski; Christian and Grayson Niemenski; Brenda Poe; Beatrice Rhodes; Cindy McCann; Trey Zuspan; Hylton Lipscomb-Zuspan; Melissa Lipscomb; Linda, Travis, Thaddeus Barnhouse; Leo Li; Carrie and Franco Leary; Joanna, Isaiah, Alexander Leary; Jennie Smith; Tehya Smith-Maize; Levi Pennington; John and Shannon McDonald; Gaberial and Nathaniel McDonald; Brenda Jones; Marc and Linda Lipscomb; Ike and Debbie Lipscomb; Donna and Rob Ridgely; Evan and Sydney Ridgely; Ian Ferguson; Tom and Lori Lipscomb; Nathaniel Lipscomb; Gary and Lynn Lipscomb; Calla and Madelynn Bohlman; Gavin and Jude Bohlman; Richard Tucker; Kathy and Rick Helmick; Bob Churchel; Jared Roy; Sandy Wollschlager; Marsella and Aubree McClung; Nicloe Poe; Brennen Rowan; Steven and Caity Muccioli; Alaina and MaeLynn Muccioli; Allyssa, Cobey, Tyler (Ty) Balint; On Friday, Lorri (Punkin)Lipscomb, Peewee Niemenski.
