The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly Outpost at the Parsons Center on December 4, 2018. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer and gave the Pledge of Allegiance. Evelyn read the minutes of the November meeting and they were approved as read. Those having a December birthday were recognized. They were Bernice Hymes and Terry Moore. The group then sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

Readings included: “Birth of Jesus” by Jim Buddingh, “Reflections” by Meg Buddingh, “How did Santa Know?” by Jean Morrison, “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by Annabel Moore, and “Christmas Day by Vera Lipscomb.

The program was then turned over to the Sonbeams from the First United Methodist Church. Their songs included: “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas”, “Still, Still, Still”, “Not So Silent Night”, “Silver Bells”, “Immanuel”, “Ding Dong Merrily on High”, “Emmanuel, God With Us”, “White Christmas”, and “Silent Night”. There was also a solo by Mont Miller titled “Joseph’s Song”.

Door Prizes were awarded to Bernice Hymes and Brenda Jones.

All asked a blessing for the meal and a delicious meal was shared by all.
