Virgil and Twila Wolford of Dryfork will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on November 15.
The couple was married November 15, 1946, at Red House, MD by the Rev. Alva K. Jones. Twila is the daughter of the late Edward and Chloe Bodkin Simmons. Virgil is the son of the late Robert and Florence Jane Wolford. They are the parents of five children: The late Terry Wolford ; Cathy Rummel and Larry of Belington; Shirley Wolfe and Jim of Nutter Fort; Ron Wolford and Brenda; Don Wolford and Tammy of Dryfork. They have six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Virgil and Twila are members of the Harman Church of the Brethern. Twila has been a member of Blackwater Rebecca Lodge #274 for over 50 years; Virgil has been a member of Davis IOOF Lodge #103 for over 60 years. He is a past president of the Flanagan Hill Development Corporation and has served on the Board of Directors for the Tucker County Senior Citizens.
