The Tucker County Office of Emergency Management Homeland Security and Tucker County Commission are participating in a program coordinated by the National Dislocated Workers Grant.
The Human Resource Development Foundation has established a crew of workers in Tucker County for debris removal from area streams and rivers to aid in the flow of water during inclement weather events and flooding. The premier focus area will be along Horseshoe Run in the Leadmine Community. They will also work on several other streams in areas of the county including but not limited to Davis, Thomas and Parsons. This program is free of charge to the county and is part of the ongoing work the Tucker County Commission is doing to help out with the flooding situations through our county.” stated County Emergency Management Homeland Security Director Kevin White.
