CHARLESTON, W.Va. – “Arts at the Heart of Communities” is the theme for the 2017 Arts Day at the Legislature.

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the West Virginia Commission on the Arts will host this annual event at the State Capitol Complex, Charleston, from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.

The event celebrates the vitality of the arts in West Virginia and the impact the arts has on cultural growth, economic development and education.

This year’s event will be held in the upper and lower rotundas of the State Capitol and will include information booths representing artists, arts education and arts organizations from across the state. Individual artists and arts organizations are invited to participate. The deadline for registration is Jan. 31, 2017. Registration forms can be found at http://www.wvculture.org/arts/artsday/2017/2017ArtsDayapplication.pdf .
