The West Virginia Attorney General’s office has reported a scam that is popping up in West Virginia in which a caller tells senior citizens that a new law requires everyone older than 65 to purchase burial insurance. There is no such law, but scammers try to pressure consumers into purchasing insurance immediately over the phone.
If you receive a call, o not give out any information and call your local law enforcement.
