St. GEORGE – Two days to make baskets!  Joni Neubert, of Canaan Valley, will once again be our instructor.  She will show us how to weave a lovely and useful Lattice Work Basket with handle ($40) on Friday. On Saturday we will be making a  carry anything Plaid Tote Basket with handle ($50). The baskets are heavy duty and can be used for numerous chores at home or to carry with pride to covered dish dinners, sewing/knitting retreats, picnics, etc. Don’t miss the chance to make your own and have a wonderful time with friends  doing it.  It’s two days, beginning at 9:30 Friday morning, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Sept. 14 until you complete your baskets.  (One day option available). This will be time away from work, telephone, computer and time just for you.  Who doesn’t need baskets to use around the house or on the road. Joni is a one of a kind instructor and knows all the ins and outs of constructing baskets and is a veteran of this heritage craft. She is a weaver and President of  the local Weavers Guild. She will make sure you have a great time while learning this  art form. You will have a completed basket to take home.  Camp Horseshoe is located near St. George in Tucker County’s Monongahela National Forest.  Horseshoe’s beautiful mountain setting, hiking trails and home cooked food will add to these special days.  Come join us!  Call Mary today for your brochure 304-478-2899.  Find us on the web at www.yla-youthleadership.org.  Everyone is welcome to participate.
