Tucker County residents with a demonstrated interest in cultural tourism are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to the Tucker County Commission requesting consideration for appointment to the Tucker County Cultural District Authority Board.
Created by the 2013 Legislature, the Authority will consist of seven board members. One of the members shall be a member of the Tucker County Commission, and six members shall be laypersons recommended by the Tucker County Commission and appointed by the Governor.
Letters should demonstrate an interest in the cultural, historical, archeological, industrial and educational heritage of Tucker County. Initial terms will be staggered, then terms of appointment will be for four years.
