Elkins, W.Va. — The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services recognized Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center for its quality service to residents and outpatients with a 4-star designation.
The 4-star designation indicates that the facility is among the top of nursing homes in the state, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services website.
“We’re very pleased that we’ve been recognized by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services),” said Tara Shaver, ERCC administrator. “We know that our staff work hard and that we provide the very best care to our residents and outpatients, but it is always good when a federal agency acknowledges that.”
Shaver went on to add that employees at the facility routinely go above and beyond. She added that the designation is a testament to the hard work of all the staff, from the nursing department to the dietary staff, environmental services, and activity aides.
“Everyone here works really hard to make sure we are the very best that we can be,” she said. “We treat all of our residents and outpatients like they’re family because we all want the very best care for our loved ones.”
Shaver went on to say that although the facility has received the 4-star designation, employees will continue to provide exceptional care to their residents and outpatients.
“We’re going to keep doing the very best we can do for everyone because that is our work ethic here at ERCC,” Shaver said.
