Mary Lee Hile, Lambert, of Oakland, Md., formerly of Tucker County, celebrated her 100th birthday on Dec. 3, 2013.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1913, in Leadmine, to parents, Samuel D. and Laura C. Helmick . She married Herbert Stanley Lambert in 1931. She has a daughter, Willetta Wythe Lambert, and a son, Herbert Stanley Lambert, Jr.
Lambert taught for 27 years, mostly in one room schools, in Tucker County, including Hamrick Elementary and Parsons Elementary. She retired in 1975 and moved to Oakland, Md. in 1986.
She has three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
