THOMAS, West Virginia—August 22, 2025. The Friends of the Mountaintop Public Library (FOMPL) is pleased to announce the success of the organization’s garden party held earlier this month. Proceeds, which totaled more than $8,000, will benefit the New Library Building Fund and help support day-to-day operations of the library.
FOMPL is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides financial and other support to the Mountaintop Public Library located at 384 Quail Ridge Road, Thomas, WV. For more information about the organization and upcoming events, please write to fompl.tucker@gmail.com.
Approximately 70 people attended the event at the home of Katy White in Canaan Valley. One hundred items were donated by area individuals, businesses and other non-profits for the silent auction that was part of the fund-raising event.
