The Highlands Trail Foundation is holding a half marathon race down the Blackwater Canyon from Thomas to Parsons on Saturday, Sept. 15.
100 runners will be competing in this epic event on the Allegheny Highlands Trail making their way from the river park in Thomas through Hendricks and Hambleton, ending in Mill Race Park in Parsons. Volunteers are needed to man the aid stations at Douglas Falls and Hendricks and to help with parking in Parsons. If you would like to volunteer, text or call Bonnie Swyter at 304-642-8773.
