The Hambleton Park Board received a grant from the Tucker County Parks & Recreation Board in the amount of $750 to replace broken backboards at the basketball court. The new backboards are made of 20 gauge steel and will be installed in the near future.
The Park Board members voted to have a fundraiser August 9 at the park to raise funds to pay the balance and for upkeep for the coming year.
A cornhole tournament will be held starting at noon, a cake/anything walk will start at 6 p.m. followed by a karaoke contest. Donations are always appreciated.
