Elkins, WV – West Virginia Caring, formerly named Hospice Care Corporation (HCC), a local, community-based non-profit organization, will be hosting its Have a Heart for WV Caring’s Hospice Center on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Vintage Restaurant & Wine Bar in Elkins, WV.
As a West Virginia non-profit, WV Caring is holding this special fundraiser to benefit the WV Caring Hospice Center, which is a hospital for hospice patients. It is the only inpatient center in North Central West Virginia providing acute care, symptom management, respite, transitional and residential care for hospice patients. The state-of-the art facility is certified and provides 24 hour a day 7 days a week care for patients when they their illness needs more attention and care. With a high staff to patient ratio and relaxed visitation, it is the closest thing to home with focus on comfort, emotional and spiritual care.
The evening event will begin at 6:00 pm with networking and will end at 8;00 pm. Each participant will receive a commemorative wine glass, two drinks of your choice, hors d’oeuvres, giveaways, plus bid on exclusive premium baskets and items in a silent auction. Tickets are $50 per person with business casual attire.
There are many ways to participate and give back to the community or pay forward so others can receive the kind of care that the WV Caring Hospice Center provides. Every dollar raised stays locally to benefit the important services that the hospice center provides.
The Country Roads Silent Auction will showcase local area items, venues, services and experiences. Area businesses are encouraged to participate and donate to be featured at the event. Sponsorships are available.
For over 38 years, WV Caring has advanced the cause of both the care of those with, and the understanding of, advanced illnesses. The organization’s comprehensive end-of-life approach to patient care and family support has meant an evolution for the patients and families they serve. WV Caring is one of few hospices willing to take on patients with very complicated, high acuity situations, also caring for pediatric patients and, as a nonprofit, providing that care without discrimination to individuals regardless of their ability to pay for services.
