Outdoor employment opportunity for West Virginia students!
ELKINS, W.Va. – The Monongahela National Forest, MobilizeGreen and Ohio-West Virginia Youth Leadership Association will host a residential Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program this summer at Horseshoe Leadership Center in Tucker County.
Two three-week residential sessions will be held at Horseshoe. The first will occur June 10 to 30 and the second July 8 to July 28. YCC members will live in cabins at Horseshoe and all meals will be provided at no cost to the participants.
Young people between the ages of 15 and 18 years of age are encouraged to apply. Both boys and girls are eligible. To apply, complete an application on the MobilizeGreen webpage at: https://www.mobilizegreen.org/crew-member-application. Applications are due April 30!
The YCC provides paid summer jobs to high school students. A residential YCC program requires that members stay at the camp for the duration of their job. YCC members work on conservation-related projects during the day and participate in environmental education, personal development and outdoor recreation activities during the evenings and weekends.
