
Bridgeport Pediatrics
Bridgeport, W.Va.—Arin M. Jennings, MD, a Pediatric Residency Rural Scholar, is joining Bridgeport Pediatrics, having finished her pediatric residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she was named Outstanding Intern in Ambulatory Pediatrics.
She graduated from WVU summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology, minoring in biology and religious studies, before going on to earn her Doctor of Medicine at the WVU School of Medicine.
Among her activities while a student, was creating, organizing, and leading a morning report session for WVU pre-medical students interested in pediatric medicine. She was also a student teaching facilitator, leading multidisciplinary sessions on healthcare topics.
She served as president of the WVU Pediatric and Adolescent Interest Group. Dr. Jennings also organized and participated in medical volunteer trips to Lima and Cusco, Peru to provide medical care for low-resource communities. She also managed the operations of the WVU Honors College tutoring program.
Her community service involvement included organizing a fundraiser for a NICU reunion to celebrate progress of former NICU patients and their families; helping pediatric patients keep up with their studies; contributing volunteer hours at Ruby Memorial Hospital assisting patients and staff; and also knitting blankets for hospitalized children through Project Linus.
