jennifer-duvall-photo[Philippi, WV] Broaddus Hospital (BH) welcomes Jennifer Duvall, PA-C, MPAS, to the team of Broaddus Family Care. She will see patients at #6 Healthcare Drive on the BH campus in Philippi.
Duvall, who is a Barbour County native, is a certified Physician Assistant. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Alderson Broaddus University. She has dedicated her medical career to service in small, rural West Virginia communities.
“I like all aspects of family-centered care, but I have a passion for women’s health and pediatrics,” said Duvall. “I plan to incorporate community education and outreach into my practice here. I enjoy meeting people and helping them achieve their health goals.”
Before joining Broaddus Family Care, Jennifer practiced at the Preston Taylor Community Health Center in Rowlesburg, WV, where she specialized in the management of chronic and acute illness, and injury. She also worked as a Physician Assistant at Whitehall Medical in Fairmont, and at Tygart Valley Total Care Clinic in Grafton.
“Jennifer brings a unique skill set in treating many of the conditions prevalent to Barbour County,” said Broaddus CEO Jeff Powelson. “She has extensive experience in working with patients diagnosed with chronic conditions like diabetes and asthma.”
Duvall’s clinical interests include well child visits and general adult care, and disease management for diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and women’s health issues. She also provides care for non-acute conditions like ear infections, fever, strep, colds and flu.
She holds certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
“I look forward to working in my hometown of Philippi. It’s important for me to be close to my children and family,” Duvall added. She and her husband Mark live in Philippi with their two small children.
Jennifer Duvall, PA-C, MPAS, is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, call Broaddus Family Care at 304.457.1522.
