At the January meeting of the Tucker Community Foundation (TCF) Jessica Scowcroft of Davis was elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Scowcroft has an extensive background in marketing. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Davis and Elkins College, Elkins, WV and spent several years in the industry working at Snowshoe Resort in Pocahontas County. In 2009 she as hired as the Marketing Manager of the Tucker County Convention and Visitors Bureau and in 2013 she was promoted to her current position as Assistant Executive Director. This spring she will graduate from the Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College as Travel Marketing Professional.
Scowcroft is very involved in the community. In addition to coaching skiing on the weekends, she is a member of Corrick’s Ford Battlefield Board of Directors and the Potomac Highlands Food and Farm Board of Directors. She is active on a number of committees including Art Spring and the Canaan Valley Bird Festival Committee.
TCF President David Cooper states, “Jessica is well known in the TCF service area. Her work in the tourism industry extends through the state of West Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. The Foundation will benefit by her expertise and energy.” Scowcroft’s three year term begins in May with the Annual Meeting.
