Dr. Don Kines from Tucker County, West Virginia, headlines this year’s WV Chestnut Festival on October 9, 2016 in Rowlesburg, West Virginia. Dr. Kines will be the distinguished guest and the keynote post-dinner speaker. He presentation will focus on,“ Developing American chestnut Hybrids for Timber, Wildlife, and Nut Production.” Dr. Kines graduated from Philip Barbour High School and West Virginia University and has a dental practice in Davis, WV, where he resides with his wife Sheryl and four children. Sheryl teaches Spanish at Tucker County High School. They have been active in the chestnut world since 1986 and own Mountain State Chestnuts Northcentral West Virginia.
