From the Office of Chief W. D. “Bill” Rowe, Parsons Police Department
Every day in the news you read articles of animal abuse. People are leaving dogs or cats along roadways, throwing them in the trash, or just physically or mentally abusing them.
As an animal lover, it really bothers me when I see this happening.
So, with that said, I am looking for those individuals who are abusing their animals. I am coming for you. As I drive around in the City of Parsons, I hope NOT to see any of this; if I do, I will be knocking on your door and you will be arrested and your animals will be taken from you.
Dogs on chains is abuse, dogs without a suitable shelter is abuse, dogs without food or water is abuse and dogs mistreated is abuse.
If you don’t want your animals, don’t mistreat them or abuse them instead call your local police or sheriff department or your local animal shelter.
