Mini Grants Awarded

Over the past several months, Tucker Community Foundation has approved mini-grant awards to the following organizations throughout the region:

Davis Thomas Elementary Middle School – $500 for computer updates in Alicia Lambert’s classroom.

Linwood Community Daycare, serving Pocahontas & Randolph County, $450 for outdoor playground equipment.

Potomac Highlands Food and Farm received $500 for startup garden equipment.

Davis Health System Foundation – $500 for the Martin Street Fair project.

The Town of Hambleton – $500 to establish a board for a historic rehabilitation project.

Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School – $300 for their Back-to-School Bash and $500 for a Reading Exemplars program in Michele Felton’s classroom.

Pocahontas County Family Resource Network – $500 for the Food Bank.

Tucker County High School – $200 for band equipment.

Mini grant applications are available online at www.tuckerfoundation.net and can be filed any time during the year by mailing or dropping off at the Foundation office in Parsons or the Run For It office in Davis. Mini-grants are intended for projects needing $500 or less.

Tucker Community Foundation serves Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph and Tucker County, WV and Garrett County, MD.
