The First Baptist Church of Parsons was selected for the April 2018 Business Yard of the Month. The low maintenance shrubs, symmetrical plantings and use of pebbles as mulch softens the brick and draws the eye to the entry and sign.The residence of Nela Bennett of Holly Meadows was selected for the April 2018 Yard of the Month by The Mountaineer Garden Club, for her nature friendly, water feature which includes a waterfall which flows down to two small pond, including a habitat for frogs, koi and with the addition of rotting logs, a place for dragonflies The ponds include water friendly plants such as lily pads and cat tails.
