Tygart Valley District garden club annual meeting, at the Baptist Church, in Parsons, was an unqualified success. State president Vickie Stedman, attended and addressed issues of obtaining and retaining members. Stedman also donated her honorarium of $150 to the Mountaineer Garden Club for their Blue Star Memorial project.
Also present was David Stedman, Executive Secretary who demonstrated the new WEB site of the WV State Garden Club.
WV state First Vice President Martha Hilton spoke briefly about the National Convention which will be held at the Greenbrier resort in 2024 and how to grow her $2 bill seed money donation to each club for funding of the convention.
Clubs attending included Stargazers of Rock Cave, Fred Brooks of Buckhannon, Emma Scott Club of Elkins and the host club, Mountaineer Garden Club of Parsons.
