The 4-H All Star program is an honorary organization for veteran 4-H members and leaders who have an impressive record of achievement and service. All Stars are rewarded with five-pointed red star pins, with the points representing head, hand, heart, health and home achievements. Becoming an All Star means a person has a lifelong dedication to 4-H, and those who are chosen can act on that dedication by leading local clubs, becoming a counselor or helping in county 4-H events.
At Older Members Conference and Alpha II this summer four Tucker County 4-H’ers were inducted into the WV All Star Chapter. How! How!

This member has been an important part of creating a new club in the county. This new club has over 15 members with several members being new to the 4-H program. She was a driving force in writing the by-laws and she has been a leader and role model. She has served as the Health Officer and President, directing her club in community service projects {Adopt-A-Highway, Care Basket for home fire victims, and Christmas “goodies” for a local in care home} , and encouraged all members to participate in county wide events.
This 4-H member, as a teen leader, helped plan, organize and implement a Bud Day during the county camp. This one day event gave Cloverbuds an opportunity to experience what 4-H Camp would be like. She taught several classes during Bud Day and is always willing to help where ever is needed.
At her local camp she assisted in planning and rebuilding of council circle, vespers and the split rail fences around the arena that is used at the annual county fair. She helps to prepare the food booth and is always willing to work several shifts throughout the week.
