Owens named the Randolph Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center Champions for Children Community Partner

Roxcella Owens, Tucker County High School secretary, is the 2017 Randolph Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center Champions for Children Community Partner. This award recognizes an individual who assists in the protection of children. Owens has been the secretary at TCHS for 9 years, impressing those around her with her exceptional quality of the service she provides to everyone who contacts TCHS as well as the students. Those nominating Owens said her extra attention to details is highlighted as she prepares for every event. Those who work with her said she goes the extra mile to ensure kids are safe and makes sure their needs are met. They said she is an inspiration to the students and staff. This is the sixth year for the Champions for Children event which was held Friday, April 21 at Orchard Hall in Elkins. Event sponsors include the Tucker County Family Resource Center, Citizens Bank of WV, Davis Trust Company, Elkins Auto, Health Center Pharmacy, the Town of Montrose, Isner Law Office, Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III, MegaCorps Logistics, GFWC Woman’s Club of Elkins, Ann and Robert Baird, Jim Hopkins and Traci Wilson, Mountain Valley Bank, Reckart Logistics, the St. George Medical Clinic, the City of Parsons, Williams & Associates and Studio MK.
