This year marks the sixth Annual Celebrate Parsons hosted by PRO ON TRAC, an event to recognize our own local citizens, community leaders, and businesses; as well as celebrate and share our accomplishments from the past year.
We are asking, you our citizens of Parsons and surrounding areas, to submit letters as nominations for the following : BUSINESS/ENTREPRENEUR of the YEAR, VOLUNTEER of the YEAR, PUBLIC SAFETY PERSON of the YEAR (Fire Department, EMS, Law Enforcement), MOST COURAGEOUS PERSON of the YEAR, MOST DISTINGUISHED SENIOR CITIZEN of the YEAR, OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE of the YEAR and CELEBRATE PARSONS PERSON of the YEAR (Individual or organization)l. Submit your nominees by letter to either Phyllis Carr, Event Chairperson, at mtnmama621@hotmail.com or proontrac2@gmail.com. You can also mail them to PRO ON TRAC, P.O. Box 203, Parsons, WV 26287. no later than March 31st.
Last year we celebrated our outstanding citizens from in and around Parsons and were honored to award the following persons: Earnest Leroy Myers, William Evick, Eleanor Huffman, Michael S. Matlick, Daniel Barkley, Cindy Harsh, and Mark Heckler.
This years celebration and dinner will be Sunday, April 19 from 1 to 3 p.m., catered by Tuscan Grill, in the gymnasium of the First Baptist Church, 227 Water Street in Parsons. Tickets will be available for $20 each or two for $35 at Stevens Realty, Parsons City Hall or from PRO Board Members
Now is the time for you to honor or say a special thank you to someone in our community who goes over and above to promote our town, to make Parsons a better place to live and work or who is always ready to jump in and give a helping hand.
