Thomas, WV – – It took three hundred and sixty-five days, countless late nights and pots of strong coffee but the end result . . . priceless! Dana Quattro of Davis recently completed the online RN to BSN program at Davis & Elkins College and was honored on December 10, 2019, at the Summer and Fall 2019 Graduates Recognition Ceremony.
It was standing-room-only in the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church for the ceremony. Quattro was one of thirty-nine graduates taking part in the recognition ceremony and one of only two students asked to represent the class with a speech.

“Be willing to learn from and grow from your mistakes,” she advised. “Ask for help. Offer help. Be prepared for the unexpected. Be kind, be bold and be confident. But most importantly, be thankful for the opportunity to impact the lives of others.”
The flexible online program requires completion of twenty-eight nursing credits, twelve general education credits and allows for up to twenty-four professional experience credits. Full-time students are expected to take two courses every eight weeks for twelve months.
Quattro became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) when she graduated from the Randolph County Vocational School of Practical Nursing in 1997. She went on to earn Associates in Science and Nursing (ASN) from Excelsior College in 2007. With this latest degree, Quattro is now an RN, BSN. This graduation marks her third from a nursing program and she plans to continue her education.
Currently, she works as a Resident Care Coordinator at Cortland Acres. She and her husband have three sons.
