Quattro Music Company opens in Thomas

The Quattro Music Company, found between the White Room Art Gallery and the Purple Fiddle is a delightful mixture of those two famed establishments. Located on East Avenue, often refered to as Front Street, Thomas, WV the Quattro Music Company mixes music and art, nicely fitting in to the growing artistic community in Thomas.

As you wander through the shop “reuse, reduce, recycle” is a constant theme. As owner Chris Quattro says “nothing is garbage”. The shop is stocked with vintage apparel, records, and well loved instruments. Chris has a passion for repurposing electrical items for musical application. Who knew that an old suitcase could be turned into a base drum or a speaker case? Another example is making microphones out of headsets from rotary phones.

The inventory of the shop is just the begining. Quattro Music Company does a large portion of their sales online. Chris has 20 years of experience in the music industry. When he isnt busy with the shop Chris operates the sound board at the Purple Fiddle and plays some gigs of his own. He would love to share his knowedge and experience with anyone interested in learning about music. He encourages people to stop by the shop to ask questions, or, if you have an instrument that is in disrepair, he can fix it! Even if you have an item that you believe is beyond repair, stop by. He enjoys taking broken items and giving them a new use. The Quattro Music Company is always looking for vintage items, especially records and unusual items.

Originally from New Jersey, Chris grew up visiting Thomas before moving here with his family during his freshman year of high school. Currently he lives in Buckhannon and commutes to Thomas for the shop.

Chris says that choosing Thomas as the location for his shop was a “no brainer”. Thomas is an up-and-coming area full of art that was also affordable. He was able to open the shop with his own funding, without having to take out loans or create debit, in other locations that would not have been an option.

Future plans for Quattro Music Company include in-store musical performances, more records and vintage clothing, as well as home furnishings. He also looks forward to moving into a larger space to help reach those goals.

So whether your interests lie in music, art, antiquities, or a little of the unusual, the Quattro Music Company is a place you need to visit! Quattro Music Company is open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m..
