Ramps and Rails Seeking Pageant Contestants

The sixth annual Ramps & Rails Festival is looking for contestants for the first pageant Royalty.

The pageant will be held April 5 at the Old Brick Playhouse in Elkins. Pageant coordinator is looking for contestants in three different categories: 1. Queen, Miss Ramps & Rail; 2. Miss Teen Ramps & Rail; 3. Two Mascots, Lil’ Mr. Ramps & Rail Engineer and Lil’ Miss Ramps & Rail Bouquet.

Ages for Queen are 16 to 21, Teen 13 to 16 and Mascots 6 to 13 years old. Contestants must live in Randolph County or any county that borders Randolph. Queen winner will receive all expenses (Entrance fee and Room) to the State Fairs and Festivals Pageant to compete for State Fair Queen held in Lewisburg, WV.

Scholarships are available for Ramps & Rail Queen and prize packages will be provided for all winners of this pageant. All winners will receive crowns and sashes, with all Lil’ Miss Ramp Bouquet contestants also receiving crown and sashes. Winners will participate in festival activities on April 26 and two train rides which are part of the festival.

This pageant is a part of and member of the State Fairs and Festivals Organization. For information and applications call Jerry L. Corley at 304-635-0174.
