Danny Barkley is named the 2017 Randolph Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center Champions for Children Samaritan during the dinner event at Orchard Hall in Elkins April 21. Barkley has donated his time as the DJ for the Champions for Children event for the last three years providing great music and sound. The staff and board members of the RTCAC said they truly appreciate his dedication to the CAC program. Barkley said he was surprised by the award and said a simple thank you is good enough for him. He said he enjoys helping with the CAC because it helps kids. The event featured entertainment by the Axis Dance Studio from Elkins and a live auction of donated items with auctioneer Bill Johnson. The dinner of lasagna was prepared and donated by the Ladies Guild of St. Patrick’s Church in Coalton and was served by the Women’s Volleyball Team of Davis & Elkins College.
