The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly Outpost at the Parsons Center on May 7, 2019. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer, gave the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang “God Bless America.”
Linda Bonner read the minutes of the April meeting and they were approved as read. Those having May birthdays were recognized. Those present were Annabel Moore, Dorothy Simpson, and Ida Workman. The group sang “Happy Birthday” to them.
Readings included: “Angels in Disguise” by Evelyn Moore, “Spring” by Barb McClung, “A Mother Is” by Patty Wilfong, “To Mother” by Arlene Ramsey, and “What I Didn’t Know Until I Had Kids” by Linda Bonner.
Annabel Moore then sang a song titled” Picture of Mother on the Wall.”
After Linda made a few announcements, she introduced Barb and Mont Miller who would bless us with several songs. They included: “Jesus Paid It All”, “In the Garden”, “What Happened to Your Hands?, “I’ll Pray For You”, “Special Love”, “Where the Roses Never Fade”, and “I’d Rather Have Jesus”.
A blessing on the food was given by the group before we enjoyed a fantastic meal.
Door prizes were won by: David Pierce, Lorraine Hinkle, and Rosie Moore
