St. George Senior Outpost was held on August 21, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Sharon Daniels welcomed everyone, led the pledge of allegiance, and asked the blessing on the gathering and the food. Everyone enjoyed a delicious covered dish meal.
Sharon presented a program on buttons, their uses, and history. P. Ann Flanagan won a prize for guessing the number of buttons in a jar. Carol Weinstein entertained with a few of her jokes. Attending in addition to the above were Betty Sturm, Virginia Popio, Shirley Cassidy, Wanda Snider, Anna Fitzwater, David Poling, Jane Pifer, Pete Kuhn, David Varner, Buddy Arnold, Don Nestor, Sue Carroll, Dale Varner, Mabel Fitzwater, Brenda Jones, and Eleanor Nestor.
The next covered dish gathering will be September 18 at 6:00 pm at the St. George Community Church. The Parsons Senior Center usually provides a van and seniors are always welcome to come, bring a friend, and enjoy food, fun, and fellowship.
