Six people appeared in Tucker County Circuit Court before the Honorable Judge Nelson for arraignments on Tuesday October 12, 2021. All six cases will be back in the courtroom before Judge Nelson again on November 16, 2021 for pre-trials.

Pamela Nestor, of Parsons, has been charged with one count of embezzlement. On April 22 and April 26, 2021 Nestor was caught on surveillance video allegedly stealing money from the register at Propst Gas Station, also known as Jim’s Allstar, in Parsons. In the video Nestor allegedly can be seen taking money out of the register and putting it into her pocket. On April 28, 2021 the Tucker County deputies received a USB drive that revealed more theft from the register. The total amount of money stolen over a five-day period totaled $1,750.00. Until her pre-trial date, November 16, 2021, Nestor will remain on her current bond conditions.

Peter Babala Jr. appeared with his attorney Brent Easton. He was arraigned on two counts of failure to register as a sex offender. Hayle Jones was arraigned on one count of child neglect. She is currently out on a $5,000.00 cash/surety bond. Randy Hyde was scheduled to appear but his attorney, Curnutte, informed Judge Nelson that he was in Pennsylvania. He is a non-resident and has been reasonably compliant. Nelson informed Curnutte that Hyde must be present for his pre-trial date on November 16, 2021.

Travis Cooper appeared with his attorney, Easton, on two counts of attempted first degree murder for his arraignment. He is currently out on $25,000.00 cash/surety bond. Cooper will be back before Judge Nelson on November 16, 2021 for pre-trial motions. His trial is set for December 20 and 21, 2021.

Joseph Dice appeared without counsel. Dice is charged with forgery and u

ttering which can carry a one to ten year sentence and fines up to $500.00. Dice will continue with bond as set and he is to have no contact with the victim.

All cases will be back before Judge Nelson on November 16, 2021.
