St. George Medical Clinic, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Melissa Hickman, PT, a skilled, compassionate and results driven physical therapist bringing more than nine years of experience in patient centered care to SGMC rehabilitation team.
Hickman is skilled in functional movement analysis, therapeutic exercise, and patient education with a strong record of helping patients achieve measurable progress toward increasing independence. She is passionate about helping each patient reach their highest potential and is committed to providing evidence based, individualized therapy to meet every patient’s needs. Melissa states “I absolutely relish working with the geriatric population, and I’ve always believed that the elderly have invaluable life experiences to share”.
Originally from Clarksburg, she and her family reside in Randolph County. Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College and went on to obtain a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University. She says she was “drawn to Tucker County’s small-town charm and St. George Clinic’s sense of community.”
