Misti is a family nurse practitioner, board certified by American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is a life- long resident of Tucker County joining St. George Medical Clinic and will be providing care to our community and its people. She started her career in 1999 as a registered nurse and recently completed family nurse practitioner certification in 2018. With over 20 years’ experience, including multiple disciplines in healthcare, Misti is excited to provide care to her home community as a provider at St. George Medical Clinic. She will be accepting new patients in May 2019.
She is the daughter of Mac and Linda Sherman of Parsons, and is married to George Shine. They are the proud parents of three dogs (Jed, Josiah, and Jocie). She enjoys the beautiful Tucker County outdoors, sports, and lazy days watching movies with her dogs. She likes to be with family and friends, her church and, being a part of animal rescue.

Work Experience
1999-2019, Davis Medical Center, With over 20 years of nursing experience, worked in the capacity of Staff Nurse,( Medical Surgical and Emergency Room), Charge Nurse, Manager, Infection Preventionist and Administrative Supervisor. Work duties ranged from individually concentrated care from admission to post discharge follow up, developing individual plan of care and implementation of care to patients. Served as the infection prevention expert, overseeing infection prevention practices for the organization, keeping health records which ranged from construction practices with contract workers to fulltime employees and their delivery of care and the patients we serve, while reporting to governing federal agencies. Managing over 90 employees and very busy inpatient units from budgeting to patient and employee satisfaction, health improvement and, personalized care delivery. Adjunct to administration with administrative oversight for the entire organization collaborating with all to ensure operations met the standards of the healthcare system.
