The Tucker County Local Emergency Planning Committee with the support of the Tucker County Commission will host the Tucker County All Hazards Conference and Training In Canaan (TACTICs) on May 1-3, 2015 at Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center. The TACTICs planning committee is made up of individuals from the fire service, EMS, law enforcement, 911, local media, and other volunteers and have been working diligently since 2009 to bring quality first response and emergency management training and instructors to Tucker County, WV.
The targeted audiences for the conference are from all aspects of emergency response and management. This year, the TACTICs planning committee is pleased to offer a vast range of courses including: Critical Incident Stress Management, Public Information Officer, Rapid Intervention Team, EMS and the Law, Basic Pump Operations, Technical Rope Skills for the Fire Service, Mass Casualty Incident Response, Obstetrics Protocol, HazMat Awareness, This & That for EMTs, Capnography, MedComm Communications, Taking Care of Our Own, Reading Smoke, Propane Emergencies, CPAP, Blunt and Penetrating Trauma, Cardiac, and “MAYDAY, MAYDAY, MAYDAY”…Now What.
