Roofing material on the Tucker County High School auditorium was ripped off during rain storms that passed through the area last week. Dr. Eddie Campbell, superintendent of Tucker County Schools, said he called Jonathan Hicks and Billy Nestor once he saw the damage. Campbell said the roof was installed around 2010. Hicks said his office is in the process of working with the insurance company and said there was no estimate of the damage, but the repairs should be covered by the insurance. He said the roof is fixed temporarily and the auditorium can still be used until it is permanently fixed. According to Hicks, the auditorium sustained minimal water damage.
