In this picture, the Mayor of Parsons, Dorothy Judy, displays the Constitution Proclamation while Blackwater Chapter DAR Regent Cindy Kolsun and Treasurer and Registrar Sue Silk assist. Mayor Judy said, “it is my pleasure to recognize how the constitution guides our government. It is a wonderful document.”

It’s Constitution Week!

Every year, the United States Constitution Week is celebrated Sept 17-23. It doesn’t matter what day of the week Sept 17 falls, the day the Constitution was signed, that day becomes the 1st day of Constitution Week. September is the official month the Constitution is celebrated.

Here in Tucker County, the Blackwater Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has asked cities and schools to proclaim Constitution Week and recognize the importance of this document.
