PARSONS – During the month of April, the Tucker County Commission has four special meetings – April 4, April 6, April 14 and April 18.
According to the minutes from these special meetings, listed online at www.tuckercountycomission.com under the category of agenda and minutes, Commissioners voted to take the following actions during the special meetings:
- -Commissioner voted unanimously to hire Greg Stevens as the Tucker County Flood Plain Manager, paying him $250 per month as a contract employee. Stevens, who is an employee in the Tucker County Assessor’s Office, replaces former Flood Plain Manager Charles Baker who resigned in March.
- -Minutes from the April 6 special meeting said “in response to the grievance filed at the Tucker County 911 Center and the result of the following investigation, decisions were made to suspend Jennifer Rosier for a period of two (2) weeks without pay and a written write-up to be placed in her personnel file.”
The minutes stated all Commissioners voted for “the discontinued employment of Darla Stemple as OEM/E911 Director and the discontinued employment of Judy Long as 911 Deputy Director, with the option of offering resignation.”
Also during the April 6 meeting, minutes indicated the Tucker County Commissioners voted unanimously to name Patrick Gray as Interim Director of the Office of Emergency Management and E911 (OEM/911 Interim Director.)
- -Commissioners voted unanimously to hire the following as temporary, part-time employees at the Tucker County 911 Center: Phil Brown, Phill Fansler, David Carr and Jason Myers.
- – Tucker County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the 2017-2018 Levy Rate.
