ELKINS – Davis & Elkins College awarded $434,800 in scholarships to seven Tucker County High School graduating seniors during its year-end awards ceremony on June 3. The students all qualify for D&E’s nationally recognized Highlands Scholar Program, which reduces the cost of private college tuition to nearly that of a public college or university for qualifying students from Barbour, Pendleton, Pocahontas, Randolph, Upshur, Tucker, and Webster Counties.
