Tucker Heritage Art Exhibit

The Tucker Heritage Art Exhibit is open Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm during September. Featuring a collection of almost 40 panels of Tucker County historical signage created by award-winning graphic artist and historian David Vago, this exhibit covers stories and local legends from 1889 – 1950, allowing residents and visitors to experience the entire range of the Friends of Blackwater historical signage in one location—the basement of the Babcock Lumber Boom and Lumber Co. on William Avenue (The Wandering Caravan shop).

Free Friday

Free Friday will be held on Friday, Sep-tember 26, at 6 pm at the First United Meth-odist Church in Parsons. We will be serving chili and cornbread, soups and sandwiches, a baked potato bar, desserts and drinks. Every-one is welcome to come eat and fellowship!

Gospel Sing

Gospel sing on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 6pm featuring Eddie and Gloria Price at Union Chapel Church, 162 Brushy Fork Rd, off Clo-ver Run Rd, Parsons.

Fall Festival

Flanagan Hill Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Red Creek at the Commu-nity Building. Activities begin at 10 a.m. with kid’s games, bake sale, turkey dinners (dine in or carry out) from 1-5 p.m. live music, mystery bingo, and cake walk at 6 p.m. Follow us on Facebook at Flanagan Hill Community Center. Come out and enjoy the fellowship and festivities

Leaf Peepers All You Can Eat Breakfast

The International Order of Odd Fellows are sponsoring a breakfast on Saturday September 27 at their lodge at 5th & Thomas St. in Davis. The menu will include sausage patties, pancakes with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sau-sage gravy and biscuits. Coffee, juice, or Tang will be included. The price of breakfast is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 years and under, and children under 6 years are free. Breakfast will begin at 7AM and end at noon or until sold out.
The Tucker County Historical Society The Tucker County Historical Society is sponsoring a reception and program to intro-duce our new Model Train Exhibit at the Rail-road Depot in Parsons. The date is Sunday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. The main attraction is music and story-telling by acclaimed trouba-dour Doug Spears. Refreshments will follow the program.
